Bon Rō Vrët (/bon/ /roː/ [tense; stiff] [tie]) is a subtropical Town located in the Fövnëbës Moot of the Viceroyalty of Rosid.

The name Bon Rō Vrët is derived from the Wood Elvish language, as Bon Rō Vrët was founded by Gadonhëm Gharthat, who was culturaly Wood Elven.

Climate

Bon Rō Vrët has a yearly average temperature of 14°C (57°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 26°C (78°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cold 2°C (35°F). Bon Rō Vrët receives an average of 245 cm/y (96 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of snow during the pleasantly short winter months. Bon Rō Vrët covers an area of nearly 4 km2 (1 mi2), and an average elevation of 4626 m (15177 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Bon Rō Vrët was founded durring the late 17th century in late spring of the year 1573, by Gadonhëm Gharthat. The establishment of Bon Rō Vrët suffered from several major issues, resulting in the need to develop many solutions to basic problems. Problems such as a lack of fresh water, logistical support, poor quality tools, and the odd monster or two. Howeaver, these were overcome in time.

Bon Rō Vrët was built using the conventions of Wood Elven durring the late 17th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Bon Rō Vrët is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.

Bon Rō Vrët is is constructed arround a series of crampt paverstone mainstreets which form concentric circles, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to each other at varrious points. The town posesses a fortified albit thin wall of querried stone. This wall posesses most of the features of a castle wall, though it is constructed from cheeper inferior stone. It would pose a minor chalange for an attacking army, though it's clear the wall's true purpose is to crush the hopes of bandits and marauders. Astonishigly, the failry decent fortifications are in pristine condishion, as if they had just been finished before you laied eyes upon them.

Something in your gut tells you that you may be unwelcome in Bon Rō Vrët. The town seems like it’s not showing you the side of itself it would show to others. People mostly ignore your questions. Many folks ask you to leave their establishments, even before you’ve walked inside them. You should probably listen to them, as every time you’re asked to leave the person asking you to leave has referenced the town’s patron divine in some way. The little voice in the back of your mind that tells you when you’re in danger feels like it’s just glaring at you and muttering about how stupid you are for even remaining in town.

Bon Rō Vrët possesses an older civil lighting system consisting of street lamps. These lights provide nighttime illumination to most city streets.

Bon Rō Vrët has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

Bon Rō Vrët has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

Bon Rō Vrët's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is known for its buildings being predominantly formed through the combination of basic geometric shapes. However, it shown in the detailing given to the structures such as its characteristic tall columns, intricate detail, symmetry, harmony, and balance in their designs to an astonishing degree of precision. Decorative elements for the buildings tended to be built into the structure itself, making great use of fluting, frescoes, inlays, and embossing.

Due to the actions of local Kami, spring is long in Bon Rō Vrët.

The Crawling Hand near Bon Rō Vrët are known to be almost tame, such that they can be put to domestic use.

Bon Rō Vrët's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in autumn and involves creating small tokens to channel Charm energies of tier 3 via moments of science.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century a local hero by the name of saved most of the town when a natural disaster struck Bon Rō Vrët. A small order of knights was founded in 's honor, and bears his name to this day.
